Business Coaching

What to expect?

(Keep in mind that coaching is an interactive process with someone trained to really listen non-judgementally and ask good questions designed to make you delve deeper. The information below only begins to show some of what happens during a session. It’s about much more than the questions.)

During the first session your coach will ask you questions such as:
  • What is motivating you to try coaching?
  • What are the top 3 issues in your business?
  • How would your business be functioning if it were ideal?
You’ll develop a plan with your coach to focus on the goals that you identify.Using the plan as the framework, subsequent sessions will include identifying what’s most important to cover that day, as well as reviewing the progress over the preceding week. Your coach will ask you questions such as the following:
  • How did it go this past week with the goals you had set?
  • Did anything interfere? (if so, what?)
  • Shall we brainstorm together about strategies to try if that obstacle surfaces again?
  • So, what’s most important to you today?
“My business was in a bit of a slump and I was having a very difficult time deciding what to do about it. I had many different ideas, but they all seemed to be pulling me in different directions. I decided to give coaching a try. My coach asked me some questions which helped me to clarify the direction that I wanted my business to go in. She then helped me to develop some strategies for getting repeat business from past customers to quickly boost my revenue, as well as develop a marketing strategy to a new market of potential customers. I felt more energized and involved in my business because I was clearer about what my vision and objectives were. Soon my business reflected my increased energy and enthusiasm and it became more profitable than ever!"- Owner of an alternative healing private practice

“I had been stuck for over six months on what to name my new business. I had developed a list of over 100 names that I liked. Within just a few days of my first coaching session, I was able to, first narrow down my list, and then to make my final choice. It felt wonderful to finally make a decision and be satisfied with it!” - Small business owner
