Business Coaching
“Business, after all, is nothing more than a bunch of human relationships." - Lee Iacocca, Former Chairman of Chrysler Cooperation“Nobody talks of entrepreneurship as survival, but that's exactly what it is and what nurtures creative thinking.” - Anita Roddick
Goals that you might have for business coaching:
- Strategic planning
- Making more effective business decisions
- Increased clarity and direction
- Increasing revenue
- Solving business problems
- Increasing customer satisfaction
- Balancing work and family
- Better relationships with employees
- Prioritizing tasks
- Setting a clearer business direction
- Developing business policies
(Keep in mind that coaching is an interactive process with someone trained to really listen non-judgementally and ask good questions designed to make you delve deeper. The information below only begins to show some of what happens during a session. It’s about much more than the questions.)
During the first session your coach will ask you questions such as:
- What is motivating you to try coaching?
- What are the top 3 issues in your business?
- How would your business be functioning if it were ideal?
- How did it go this past week with the goals you had set?
- Did anything interfere? (if so, what?)
- Shall we brainstorm together about strategies to try if that obstacle surfaces again?
- So, what’s most important to you today?
| “My business was in a bit of a slump and I was having a very difficult time deciding what to do about it. I had many different ideas, but they all seemed to be pulling me in different directions. I decided to give coaching a try. My coach asked me some questions which helped me to clarify the direction that I wanted my business to go in. She then helped me to develop some strategies for getting repeat business from past customers to quickly boost my revenue, as well as develop a marketing strategy to a new market of potential customers. I felt more energized and involved in my business because I was clearer about what my vision and objectives were. Soon my business reflected my increased energy and enthusiasm and it became more profitable than ever!"- Owner of an alternative healing private practice |
| “I had been stuck for over six months on what to name my new business. I had developed a list of over 100 names that I liked. Within just a few days of my first coaching session, I was able to, first narrow down my list, and then to make my final choice. It felt wonderful to finally make a decision and be satisfied with it!” - Small business owner |
